South Bay Wine Tour 10/15

Attention all ARA members! We are doing a pop-up limited wine tour in Santa Clara County on Saturday, October 15th. We will start by meeting at 9:00 - 9:30AM in the CVS parking lot in San Jose off of San Felipe Rd to get our coffee/breakfast and have a brief meeting. The #1 goal here is to get our driving out of the way first and finish out the day with tasting some lovely Pinot, Cabs, and several other varieties. We will be departing at 10:00AM Sharp!

The driving portion will wind us through some scenic two-lane country backroads of South Santa Clara County and take a little over an hour. Meandering through the golden hills, we will end up at a new Italian Deli in Morgan Hill. The owner would love to fill his small parking lot with Italian rides. They have fantastic sandwiches, freshly made pastas, and lots of snacks to bring with us to complement our tastings.

After leaving Palmerino's Deli, we'll bring our snacks and head just a few minutes down the road to a private winery called Castillo's Hillside Shire Winery. The grounds here are lovely and we will get to display our vehicles in an area that is not normally available to guests.

After leaving Shire Winery, we will head just down the road to Guglielmo Winery to enjoy the second and final tasting of the day. Guglielmo has a fantastic selection of wine to try and if you have run out of snacks already, they have a great selection of cheese, meats and other snacks to pair with your choice of wine. To top it off, they have wine slushies available with a new flavor every weekend.

Space is limited, so register as soon as it opens! We will be providing meeting information and route maps to all members who register for the event.

Sincerely,

Sean O'Donoghue
